Adidas: Find Your Rhythm

Brief

Encourage new and casual runners to download the adidas Running App by highlighting its role as a tool for mental health and overall wellbeing during the stressful holiday season. Instead of following the typical “new year, new you” narrative, the campaign aimed to inspire people to see running and walking as accessible ways to reduce stress, recharge, and find balance.

In parallel, the campaign also promoted the New Year’s Virtual Race and Challenge, motivating runners to start the year with a shared goal and a sense of community.

Idea & Execution

As Art Director, I crafted the entire campaign identity, from concept to final rollout. Drawing inspiration from the rhythm of breath and movement, I developed the visual system, typography, and overall art direction, using light, motion, and textures to create a sense of calm energy. The campaign visuals evolved across two phases: before the new year, the palette reflected the warm tones of a setting sun, while after January 1st, the colours shifted to sunrise hues, symbolising renewal and fresh energy.

AI-generated imagery was blended with photography to give the campaign a modern, distinctive edge, while digital assets, app store optimization, and in-app experiences were designed to feel cohesive and immersive.

The result was a holistic visual language that invited runners to “Find Your Rhythm” balancing performance with wellbeing, and connecting everyday activity to a deeper sense of flow.

Using adidas’ in-house tool LATTE, I designed and built a custom campaign page within the adidas Running App, combining UI design, interactivity, and commerce in one seamless experience. The page included localized text, animations, video, and an interactive raffle to engage users.

For the first time, I also introduced a fully functional in-app store section, enabling users to purchase the adidas apparel featured in the campaign directly within the app. From UX flow to UI design and final launch, I was solely responsible for the end-to-end execution.
